ABM was appointed to take over the design of a partly completed 154 key Hotel opposite Terminal One at Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore.
The objective was to revive the project and design some new packages and seamlessly integrate them with part of the work done previously. ABM adapted the original interior design, redesigning it to make it part of the Taj collection and to meet the operator’s standards.
Location: Bengaluru, India
Year Completed: 2016
Design Team: Riyaz Himany and Harshada Pathare
ABM designed the interiors of the Standard, Deluxe and Suite rooms as well as some of the common spaces like the banquet.
The hotel interior is simple but opulent. Keeping in mind that Bangalore is the Garden City, floral motifs were used in some of the textiles. Although the rooms are small they are made to look spacious. Even though the materials and colors that are toned down and earthy with a touch of blue to highlight elements, the spaces still feel luxurious.
